There wasn't anything wrong with this book, but nothing special either. I would call it a good "airplane book". An engaging enough story without requiring too much thinking.

Great book. Wrapped up the two book series perfectly. Had me bawling. Loved the ending.

Didn't realize that this was the second book based on the main character and her life. It was pretty good. I like th Oma character. Some of the ending was a little too "let's make this a happily ever after".

I enjoyed the book, the end was a bit too "perfect" but still a good read. I didn't realize it was a sequel so now I have to grab the first one!

If you thought the original was bad, well, then, you really need to read the sequel. Killing off characters for plot development? An out-of-control 16-year-old who uses mom's hairbrush to brush her horse's tail? Stomping off because your boyfriend gave you earrings instead of a ring? A custody battle with a sassy social worker? EAT YOUR HEART OUT NORA ROBERTS.

Unreadable. I can't believe this is by the same woman who wrote [b:Water for Elephants|43641|Water for Elephants|Sara Gruen|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348373323s/43641.jpg|3441236], and this was written LATER. Did she play tackle football without a helmet in between? I bought it assuming it would be great, without reading the plot, reviews or first page. Major mistake. I was annoyed by page two. The writing and plot aren't worthy of a cheesy children's book, not to mention the dialogue.

A nice book I came back to every time I needed an easy read. The ending and romance part of the story was very predictable, but I liked the arch in between and especially the depiction of horses and the relationship between them and their humans - there could have been much more of the latter. Don't expect too much of this book, but it makes for a good light summer read, with horses.

My feelings about this book are much the same as my feelings for the first one, [b:Riding Lessons|142886|Riding Lessons (Riding Lessons, #1)|Sara Gruen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1410766232l/142886._SY75_.jpg|3441238]. I've read other stuff by [a:Sara Gruen|24556|Sara Gruen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1427926456p2/24556.jpg] that absolutely blew me away, but this wasn't one of them.

If not for the horses, I wouldn't have made it though this book. I spent pretty much the entire time clenching my teeth, rolling my eyes, and pretending someone as terrible as the protagonist wouldn't actually exist outside of fiction.

Where Riding Lessons was generally enjoyable after you got past the glaring flaws of the protagonist, this book was honestly a step backwards. Too much emphasis on teenage drama and overdramatizing the very adult protagonist's love life and playing up expectations to explode on it. On the upside, I guess, at least her parenting skills were better than the first book.
