What and unexcepted and complex book.
A story that brings in the love of present day and past. Georgia famous Grandma has just passed away and now there is a question of what to do with her unpublish memory, the closest thing to autobiography that she has ever written. Here's the problem Georgia doesn't want it finished and if it is done she doesn't want it to have her Grandma's textbook happy endings. Noah is a well renowned author known for his tragic love stories and has been brought it behind Georgia's back to finish and publish the story. Her mom wants the money, her ex wants the movie rights, and Noah wants to right a book with a happy ending.
Georgia has so much going on it is not surprising that she garbles with the decision of what she wants and what is right. She is a little winey and unreasonable at times.
The story of love and war between a British women, that is her grandma, and an America man is something that is beautiful. I could read about there love all day.
The ending will shock everyone, it defiantly got me!

This book left me a bit of a crying mess at parts…
It felt good to “figure it out” as the characters did and not completely guess what was happening.

3.5 rounded up. It seems most reviewers are split on this book. Lots of 1- and 2-star reviews, and lots of 5-star reviews. I was somewhere in the middle. I liked the dual timeline. I also liked that it was a unique view of WWII, as parts of it were told from the perspective of a Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) service member instead of the standard "soldier + woman waiting at home" like most other WWII historical fiction. The last-minute plot twist was a good surprise, although there were quite a few hints. The sex scenes were a bit overdone/unnecessary, and the main characters in the modern timeline were a bit one-dimensional. In the modern timeline I liked the sister and best friends much better than I liked the main characters. Also, I didn't realize until I was done with the book that this is the same author that wrote the Fourth Wing.
