Ngl, this book was a little hard for me to get into at first, but once you’re a couple of chapters in it’s impossible to put down.

The twist literally gave me goosebumps and had me crying my eyes out.

This book was so freaking sweet! It had me crying a few times

can’t wrap my head around the fact that this book was written by the same author as fourth wing

i’ve been in a romance reading slump lately. it seems like every book i pick up is the same thing over and over. this book definitely has its tropes and romantic stereotypes but for some reason it worked for me. i usually only feel this emotionally affected by physical books, but even the audiobook version of this had my chest aching. i could genuinely feel the love being portrayed in every chapter.

Georgia, great-granddaughter of Scarlet Stanton. Recently divorced. Moved back to Colorado to help finish her great-grandmother’s last unfinished book. Noah, best selling author, is selected to finish writing Scarlet’s last unfinished book. Has two different endings he wants to write. They develop feelings for each other while spending a lot of time together in Colorado. Georgia picks an ending for the book that doesn’t fit Noah’s typical novels. Noah agrees since he loves Georgia. The book get a lot of negativity which leads Georgia to change the ending to the way Noah normally ends his books.

Scarlet was in the military working when she met Jameson Stanton. Jameson, who is American, is a pilot in the war. Scarlet’s family are trying to get her to marry another man to try and save their titles and help with the financial problem they are in. Scarlet eventually falls in love with Jameson and tells her family she isn’t going to marry who they want her to. She ends up cutting ties with her mother and father. She marries Jameson and within a year of marriage, Scarlet gets pregnant. Scarlet is really close to her sister, Constance. Constance lost the love of her life in the war and has agreed to marry the man her parents wanted Scarlet to marry to save their house. Jameson gets hit during a raid and goes down. He is never found.

Scarlet sends a box to Georgia for her 7th wedding anniversary. Scarlet told her she apologized for lying and to read the letters. After the bombing, Scarlet thought Constance was dead. Constance came to, but realized that Scarlet was losing a lot of blood. Scarlet passes away. Constance takes William to Vernon to get to the United States. Constance lives her life as Scarlet and has the happiest life.
