Historical fiction has never been my go to genre, but this book has given me a change of heart! I absolutely adored this read! The suspense, the reveal, the love, the romance, EVERY PART OF IT! I just wanted to keep reading and hated when it came to and end!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: This is one of the BEST, most well written, beautiful & tragic romance books I’ve ever read!

REVIEW FOR FUTURE ME WHEN I FORGET THAT I EVEN READ THIS BOOK:

Sobbed. You are going to read more historical romance because those parts were your favourite. The chapters in present day were less fun but lead to important parts about the past so you allowed them. War is cooked. 4.5 ⭐️s

Bawled my way through the end of that. All the emotions, couldn't put it down, even managed to have quite the twist at the end there. Beautiful book.
Georgia gets messed over by her Mother. Again. What a surprise. Her mother tries to trick Noah and his editors into believing she is Georgia, and has the right to Scarlett Stanton's unfinished manuscript, but Georgia shows up just in time to put it all right. At first, she's not willing to hand it over, but luckily for all involved, the deal goes ahead. What follows is the story of Georgia's Gran, her sister, her husband and their friends in war time. There's happiness, love, friendship, and there's also great tragedy, loss and broken hearts.

This book is cheesy and it’s a rip off of the nightingale. I like the ending a lot but everything else??? There was no character build up between Georgia and Noah. The audiobook was also so bad.

I loved how Yarros flipped between past and present seamlessly. The modern romance contrasts beautifully with the WWII-era love story- both equally captivating. The parallels? So well done

I wish this book was a thing I had left unfinished.
I really thought I would like this book, but no. I think the execution of this book could have been better because I do like the actual idea of it. The dialogue in this book read like a hallmark movie, it was so cringy and unnatural. This book just felt very drawn out and boring and I found myself almost skimming a lot during the last half of the book, because I just wasn't invested anymore. It felt as though I never really got fully immersed in the story. The romance between Noah and Georgia felt so forced as well. I don't really enjoy insta-love and overly sappy romance scenes. Also when he randomly invited her mother and thought that would heal her or something ??
But, I actually liked Scarlett and Jameson's storyline but it just became so repetitive at one point. This book honestly just left me really disappointed because it had such great reviews and maybe that just gave me too high expectations?
