2⭐️ This was honestly the worst one so far in this series. I think I turned out of most of it. I was going to DNF but I have already bought the next book in this series and thought it would be a waste to DNF at like 80% lol. Not my favorite

This book had me very bored. It’s cute and smutty but not at all dark and the kink is very tame.

I never really leave reviews but I wanted to try and change that this year so bear with me!
First and foremost: I love Katee’s books. They are always filled to brim with spice, character development, and honestly some super interesting world building. I LOVE that the women she writes about aren’t all stick figures and that there’s a lot of different kinds of protagonists in her romance novels- none of which are super damsel in distress-y. The neon gods series is easily my favourite romance series, that said: this was my least favourite of them all thus far.
I really loved Cassandra and her personality, I loved pieces of Apollo but unlike the other male leads in this series I don’t feel like we saw anything different in him through her eyes. Their relationship developed fairly quickly, however there was very little spice.
What I did like about this book was how it effectively tied together the various stand alone novels and confirmed that there is if nothing else intention of making this series more like a series. I am eager to see the what happens next, even if I wasn’t super invested in Apollo and Cassandra.
