Dark romance, political intrigue, murder mystery- all wrapped into an Apollo and Cassandra Greek myth retelling? Yes please!
Katee Robert's world building of Olympus is so intrinsic to the storyline that it feels like one of the characters in addition to The Thirteen. But to take the Thirteen out of the city and into the countryside home of the mysterious Minos, we get to see the main players of Olympus at their most vulnerable.
Apollo and Cassandra's chemistry is hot fire. The spice is spicy. And the mystery is still unsolved. I had a great time with this fourth entry in the Dark Olympus series and am ready to devour the rest of the series.

I truly enjoy this series a lot. The spice mixed with the political intrigue and drama is very fun. I especially loved that Apollo is so kind and loving while still being dominant and sexy. I love that Cassandra is a force to be reckoned with and that at least Apollo always believes and sees her even if the others don't. Oh and of course I absolutely loved that Cassandra is plus-sized and beautiful!

Cassandra & Apollo were really nice mc's and I loved reading about another decent member of the 13 but the pacing didn't really work for me, sadly. The murder (mystery?) element was fun but also a bit predictable — didn't expect their secret ally though 🤫 Really hot sex, much more in the Neon Gods style with a BDSM focus — loved that!! This felt a bit filler-y, especially because Minos & his people were already introduced in the last book but it seems we're really getting into it now!

I really enjoy the romances in Katee Robert's books. I especially enjoy that they are never very similar to each other. The plot is a but messy in certain parts and I honestly thought it was a bit weird how the villain for the story layered their plan throughout the book. Another thing that i couldnt wrap my head around was how Apollo was suppose to be part of the Thirteen. As much as I love Apollo, I don't fully get how he was able to obtain power and maintain it so far. They say throughout the book he shouldn't be underestimated, but didn't really give him as many strengths as I would expect for someone in the thirteen. But maybe we will see more throughout the series. Overall, really enjoyed this one!
