At the heart of this book, it was good and I enjoyed it. I think I would give it a higher 3.5 stars. I feel like I went in with way too high of expectations, as Eleanor and Grey blew me away! I expected the same from this, but did not get that!
I was surprised that this first book was very YA, as it took place early on in high school. I am hoping that the next book steps it up a bit and I get more of the Eleanor and Grey feels that I am wanting!
Also, wasn't a big fan of the female narrator on this one. I wish she would have kept the same one from the first book in this series!!

Such a wonderful duet that really did the groundwork of creating an emotional, immersive story. I felt drained after finishing both, but in the best of ways. I do wish that we could have basked in the HEA a little more, because the majority of both stories are so heavy laden with emotion and conflict. I wanted just a little bit more focus on the joy at the end. But overall, this is one of my favorite romantic duets of all time.

It's been a while since I listened to a book by Brittainy. So glad this was the book I chose. Loved Landon & Shay & their story. Great enemies to Lovers story! Excellent narration by Teddy Hamilton & Miranda Jay (new to me narrator).
Brittainy's books always make you feel. I have yet to read a story by her I didn't love. This one was very real as it discussed some heavy topics pertaining to mental health but it was well written. I can't wait for the next one
Landon and Shay Part one is the latest book from a new to me author. From what I have learned, the characters of this story were mentioned in the previous book “Eleanor and Grey” but this can be read as a standalone. As always, I still encourage reading the other one just for maximum reading experience. This is a contemporary, new adult, enemies-to-lovers romance.
The story tackles a topic that feels close to my heart as I have known someone suffer the same. It is hard for me to know its symptoms, fully understand the extent of it and help that person. I didn’t know what to do. I loved this story as the author made me relate with the character’s real life situations. It really hurt to know that Landon doesn’t have anyone until Shay.
The characters and its story will tug at your heart with all the feels! With its emotionally charged moments, this is another story that will leave its mark on you as you ponder. I can’t wait for part two to know what will happen next. A must read for every romance lovers out there. I loved it!
