Boy was this book spicy. I’m not the biggest fan of romance especially that focus mostly on the spice factor, but I did enjoy the story especially with the Pretty Woman vibes it was giving. I also really liked the representation of autistic individuals in this story. The fact that the main character has autism is pretty groundbreaking and I liked that she was able to really explain how she was feeling and what it was making her feel that way. When I read that the author also has autism it made the representation even more important because she can actually understand what it is like to live with that.

Ehh…

What I did enjoy was the representation for people on the Autism spectrum, a woman working in a STEM field, and the Vietnamese representation. The smutty stuff was very enjoyable, and overall what you expect from a romance/women’s-fiction novel. Important to note that while the author was writing this book, she herself was diagnosed to be on the Autism spectrum.

Imagine a Pretty Woman situation with the roles reversed, and you have this story. The character’s were mostly flat for my liking, although I did enjoy the main character’s realization that her Asperger’s (as it is referred to in the book) isn’t a disorder, but just a part of her. In general, a lot of plot points failed to deliver and the characters arcs were more of a straight line.

I know this is this author’s first book and this is also a first book in a series. I liked it enough to keep on reading and hoping the writing style evolves.

Knee-weakeningly sexy with an accurate depiction of what people with ASD go through when letting new people into their lives- and their beds. Stella really resonated with me and the author's note at the end is worth a read.

Michael's daddy issues are too over-the-top for my taste.
