Soooo cute with all the snort-laughs and the potential for cheese sharts, p.s. that means it's funny.

Seriously, Kayley Loring's books always bring the laughter and this book is about two stand-up comedians so there was a lot of snort laughing the entire time I was reading...the cheese sharts....that was all contained within the pages of the story itself and you are welcome to read all about it and have your own potential accidents. LOL!

Within the pages of Funny Business, Frankie and Owen are a classic Loring couple. Full of steam, flirty banter, making me laugh while they fall in love. I for one never get tired of this formula, which is why I return to one-clicking her books every single time she writes a new one.

Owen Brodie needs a nanny while he is on a month-long comedy tour and while Frankie Hogan may be a heckler from his past, but she is also a qualified nanny desperately in need of a job. What could possibly go wrong?

During this month in close quarters, their love-hate relationship is full of sparks and chemistry that they try to contain within a can of gasoline; Owen's son, Sam, is an adorable ninja who sneaks cheese every chance he gets, why is this a problem- you might want to reference back to my first sentence; and Frankie could be jeopardizing her future career by beginning a fling with Mr. Comedy Himself, but who really needs a career, right?

Sam is brilliantly adorable, which is another thing I continually love about Kayley's books, she has the BEST kids in her stories, so if for no other reason, read her books for the cutest kids literally ever imagined.

Funny Business is hilarious and full of very cute moments. It can be read as a complete standalone, but if you've read Kayley's other books you'll meet past characters and love the interconnection.

Funny Business
The Brodie Brothers, Book 1
By: Kayley Loring
Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Emma Wilder, Zachary Webber, Jason Clarke, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais

I am still laughing and I don't even know where to start to review this enemies to lovers book! It's the kind of humor that I love, a story with fantastic characters and their fun journey from annoyance to love. When Owen started his comedy career, he knew it wasn't going to be easy. Hecklers are the worst and this night, the woman was unbearable. A little drunk, and seeing her teenage heart throb on the stage has Frankie letting the comments fly. Now it's several years later, Frankie's aspiring comedy career slowly building, but she needs a paying job. When offered to nanny for said teenage heart throb with Owen while touring, she is hesitant. Their relationship has grown over social media banter, but after meeting his son, she is sold on the idea. And our story begins. Get ready for laugh out loud scenes, cheesy farts, slow burning passion and visits from our good friends from previous stories. Loring is a master at comedy and building a love story that rivals no other. I fell for this couple and you will too!

This ensemble cast is fantastic! I really don't have to say more, but I will. Emma Wilder outdoes herself, with not only the comedic side of this book, but the amazing voices and delivery she gives. Teddy Hamilton brings Owen to the stage with joke delivery like he is on Netflix and turns the tables with burning passion. Add in brother, parents, managers by the talents of Zachary Webber, Jason Clarke, Mackenzie Cartwright and Connor Crais and this duet style narration and I was on cloud 9 as I listened. It's my favorite romcom of the year!

Funny Business was rife with laughter, witty banter, and well timed quips that Kayley Loring is a master of bringing to her characters.

I think Frankie may be my favorite Kayley Loring heroine, ever. Her sarcasm and jokes, and the way she hid behind those things as a way not to leave herself vulnerable is something I have too used as armor.

Owen was cocky and extraordinarily confident, but in some ways he was just as self conscious as the rest of us mere mortals. When he began to open up he was actually incredibly sweet, and oh how this man can make you swoon.

Owen and Frankie had chemistry before they ever met, 2 people in the same profession that were nemesis on the outside and a raging inferno on the inside.

Their sarcasm and wit was flawless, and I became addicted to their back and forth. It was a fine balance of laughter and panty melting, and no batter which side of the beam they were on at the time they kept up with one another in mesmerizing fashion.

I adored that Frankie not only had an immediate connection to Sam, but that it rivaled the one she had with Owen. They immediately had a fondness for one another that tugged at my heartstrings. Sam brought his own brand of humor into this story and it was easy to see he got some traits from his dad that will inevitably make this adorably unique kid a heartthrob some day.

I’m already in love with the Brodie family, and I’m really looking forward to spending more time in this world.

Funny Business grabbed my attention in the very first pages, and soon after reality faded away and I spent hours engulfed in The Brodie Brothers world. An alluring blend of exhilarating chemistry, a swoony hero, a sassy heroine, rife with laughter, witty banter, steam, sprinkled with feels, and an added bonus of an equally witty sarcastic family that I can’t wait to visit again.

Do not be fooled by the 90's Dime store Romance cover!!!

This book is flipping hilarious!!! Yes, it's about two comedians, but it's legit funny from start to finish!

Frankie is a struggling comic who just can't catch a break and has dated way too many jerks named Justin. Owen is a successful, hotter than he deserves to be ex-model, and single dad comedian.

Their banter is top notch, the stand-up really witty, and their joke books made my non existent abs hurt.

It's the perfect brain scrub from the dark romance I read before this and I'm going to go devour the rest of this series then circle back to read the tie-in series.

But seriously... That cover is awful! And yet, is kind of perfect once you've read the book!

This was the first book I’ve read by this author, and nothing could have prepared me for the humor and snarkyness. Owen and Frankie had me rolling with laughter and they kept you on your toes. Never knew what would be coming next! The entire Brodie family was hilarious, but Mama Brodie was a hoot. Definitely a steamy comedy romance book that I would recommend.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This audiobook was phenomenal!! I absolutely loved it!!

Owen and Frankie were such a joy to listen to as their relationship developed. There was so much snark and cattiness! Frankie did let Owen get away with anything. On the flip side, Owen loved to tease Frankie. I also thought the relationship Sam and Frankie has was wonderful. Clearly Owens son was in need of a friend.

The heat was hot with this one! It was also pretty funny how Frankie and Owen really believed they could just have a fling. I also loved how supportive Owen was of Frankie’s dreams. He never belittled or used his fame and success to overshadow her accomplishments.

The ongoing text messaging banter with Owen’s family is the best thing ever!!!

I loved everything about this book. Frankie and Owen were so much fun and I loved their banter. They had great chemistry. The text threads were one of my favorite parts of the story. Kayley’s writing always has a way of boosting my mood and I couldn’t stop laughing throughout this whole listen. This is one of my favorite performances by Emma Wilder, she completely knocked it out of the park. Everything about her performance was outstanding. Teddy was amazing with his performance as Owen. The supporting cast of Mackenzie, Jason, Zachary and Connor did and incredible job with all of their characters and made the text threads completely come to life. This was a fun listen and is going in the repeat stack.
