ARC REVIEW

Thank you Hidden Gems Books and Amy Blythe for this eARC! I really really enjoyed this book. I found it to be a slow slow burn, and the sexual tension throughout the entire book was very well done, and really kept me very entertained! I admit, I picked up this book in part because having traveled and lived in Europe for part of my life, I wanted to see how it translated to a nanny living with a family in different parts of Europe. It felt very believable, and I really felt like I was transported to many of these different places. Many of the day to day situations of raising these children as a nanny felt very tangible. It felt like the character development was great and her relationships as she developed them with both the children and with Matt jumped off the page. I can’t wait to read what Amy Blythe writes next!

*I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*

I really enjoyed this story and I have the biggest soft spot for Harry! I thought the relationship between him and Elise was actually the most special part of this book. Jean and Matt were great together and I loved all of their interactions.

Unputdownable, exquisite read!

If you’ve not read Amy Blythe before, then make sure you give her books a read!

Kiwi Jean is embarking on her big OE, with delicious expectations of travel, adventure and all of the wild experiences a woman in her mid twenties wants to find.
Having secured a position as a nanny, the last thing she expects is to find herself coming face to face with Matt, a guy she met whilst out in London a few nights earlier.
It seems he is the father (separated from Mum) of the kids she will be caring for.
Worst still, it seems that having taken a contract in Paris for the next four months, she will be accompanying him with the kids).

That shouldn’t be too hard - should it?

Only the unmistakable chemistry between her and Matt refuses to be subdued, and very soon they find themselves embarking on a wild and highly secret affair.

Of course nothing is that easy and the author takes the reader on a roller coaster examining the relationship between the kinds of family dynamic that are so common in today’s world.

The children are endearing, a highly strung, but talented fifteen year old girl and a darling seven year old boy.

Matt has his own conflicts, but it’s hard not to feel for him as he battles his own demons and insecurities.

And Jean - she’s a feisty, fearless and fun loving young woman who simply had to find her happy ever after in the end.

I’m looking forward to reading Kate and Johannes story next!
