Warning - once you start this book you will not be able to put it down - yes - it is that good. Sophie and Ike have a chance meeting that sets their future in motion. Both well known, Sophie as an influencer and nutritionist and Ike as a MVP quarterback, but both with very different backgrounds. While Ike's is bleeding him dry, Sophie has more support than she knows what to do with. Will the two backgrounds clash? Or will they have the perfect combination of give and take? A beautifully written story from the opening pages, Kristen Proby only makes Sophie more honest and true by giving her real woman issues that do not hold her back. This book deserves more than 5 stars!!

I liked it but... a bit of a spoiler here: Don't read if you are uncomfortable with feet mentioned during sex. I do think he has a foot fetish and I had to put down the book because I was grossed out. Overall not the best book, I didn't become completely obsessed but a fairly enjoyable read to pass time.

I read an ARC of The Score by Kristen Proby but I couldn’t resist the audiobook too. This sports romance between NFL QB Ike and health and fitness personality Sophie was a lot of fun, but not without some drama. I loved these characters and loved all the cameos from characters from the With Me in Seattle world. The Score is the third book in the Single in Seattle series but can be read as a standalone. Fair warning, it might make you want to read all the others! I loved this book and am also loving the audio so definitely add it to your TBRs!

It's been a long time since I have sat down and read in one long stretch. I am an avid reader, but often my ADD kicks in and I take frequent short breaks while reading, but The Score sucked me in so quickly that before I knew it, I was almost finished! That is a testament to the captivating writing that Kristen Proby displays in the novel!

Sophie and Ike run into each other one morning. Literally. Then later that day, the meet again when Sophie is at her Uncle Will's home, while Ike is there, visiting. Needless to say, they hit it off, and with a little nudge from Aunt Meg (and some not so veiled threats from Uncle Will), Sophie and Ike set off on a little romance. But while there are forces that work against these two, they are determined to work through things and come out stronger on the other side.

I absolutely love the Montgomery family! And I love seeing these former children grow up and find love. I also love watching their parents deal with it! (And that epilogue with Isaac? It brought tears to my eyes!)

I can't wait for more~ I'm hoping that Hudson may be next :)

*this e-arc was sent to me by the PR to give an honest review in return*

I really enjoyed reading this book which is about two people who crash into each other leaving without names until fate brings them together and they can't separate this time. I really enjoyed this book by Proby. It's part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the author's writing and how they captured my attention from the first page. I was instantly hooked from the detailed writing and binge read this book as it was around 300 pages (according to Kindle). I liked the story plot line and the setting it took place. The pacing was perfect and it was so easy to read this book in one sitting. Then again I'm also a huge sport romance junkee and would read any sport romance book I can get my hands on.

This book is told from both Sophie and Ike's pov. I really enjoyed both of the characters and thought they were well written. Sophie is our curvy lady who is a nutritionist and an influencer while Ike is the NFL football player who job is on the line. Both characters had a great development but together. I really enjoyed reading both of their stories. There are also many side characters in this book but they aren't involved with the book as much. The main eyes are on Sophie and Ike which usually I don't like but I did this time. The romance is football romance, fated love, and instant love. Usually I'm not a instant love trope lover but this time it was pretty good so I do recommend. There are some spicy scenes but not a lot.

The ending was well done and there is an epilogue for the readers. I really loved this book and was so glad to have the opportunity to read it. I would for sure read the others because I know I will love them. I totally recommend checking out this book because it has great romance with a touch of spice. I recommend this book to fans of Elle Kennedy and Mariana Zapata.

The Score by Kristen Proby
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Thanks to Kristen Proby & @valentinepr for the ARC!

Kristen Proby was actually the author who got me into reading romance. One random afternoon in a Borders I picked up Blush for Me from the Fusion series—obviously it was out of order in a series you guys know how I roll—and devoured it in a day. So I had to sign up for this ARC when I saw my chance and I’m glad I did because I loved The Score.

The Score is the third book in the Single in Seattle series —listen y’all know I’m toxic and haven’t read the first two or the apparent first generation series that spawned this series, but I promise this one be is strong enough to standalone.

The Score centers around Sophie and Ike. He literally knocks her off feet one morning when they’re out for a run. He’s pretty instantly smitten and honestly so is she. Circumstances work in his favor that they bump into each other again later and he’s able to score her number. He’s up for the job of convincing her that letting him in won’t be a mistake.

Sophie and the why behind her career made me tear up a smidge. I think disordered eating is something a lot of us can relate to unfortunately, but it’s nice to think of someone taking an awful time in their lives and turning it into empowerment. Ike is a sweetheart and total cinnamon roll. This was a fairly low angst read and I truly loved that. I also might have added the rest of this series to my TBR…

There was some angst that cleared up neatly and quickly. It moved a bit too slowly at times. KP is one of my faves.

Love & Family

When you met the Montgomery’s all those books ago, you know like me you fell in love with the kids as much as you fell for the parents. Reading this new series of the next generation of love stories is just everything.

The Score did not disappoint. It was just full of so much sassy, lust and love you come with this family. Sophie was one we knew from the beginning and to see her grow into the amazing woman she is just makes you want to be a cousin too! Ike is the most sweetest alpha so far. Definitely a must read.
