Three and half or three and three-quarters stars. This is a hard one to rate. I liked the idea of time travel and a murder mystery and I've enjoyed other books by Riddle's, but Lost In Time stumbles right out of the gate with a premise that's just too ridiculous. I'm not talking about the (pseudo) science but rather the purpose for which said technology is used. It's just, well...dumb. So, I struggled with that and the lack of a strong plot narrative. I thought this might even be a DNF and then I hit just past the half-way point. BAM!! From that point forward I was able to push aside the dumb premise and just enjoy the beautiful feeling of pieces of a puzzle falling into place, revealing a highly entertaining take on murder mystery swirled with time travel. The 40-some percent of the book just past that halfway mark was highly entertaining, wonderfully mysterious, and a pleasure to read. It does lose a bit of the steam at the end, but only a small amount. I'm glad I stuck with this one as the payoff is well worth it.

Good story that kept my attention. The pace of the book threw me off a bit. The first 300 pages kept a good pace...you got the details, action and multiple character arcs. The last 150+ pages seemed rushed with focus on one character and an all too tidy ending of all character issues/conflicts.
Still recommend for a good sci-fi read.
A solid 3.5 star book (rounded up for GR's rating system).
