Such a cute book. I love reading this when I'm in the mood for a funny and light read. Bo is so sweet, and I love how real all the characters seem. It has it's issues that I felt had easy fixes, but I mostly enjoyed the story. The movie is cute, too!

I walked into this knowing the little that I knew from the Netflix adaptation but the book was definitely better.

Once I got into reading this and having Willowdean in my head, I stayed way past what I should have to finish it because there is definitely more to this book than the tiaras and pageants. She is such a voice, aware of herself and her shortcomings, loves with all her heart, and like many wonders where she fits in the world.
