I can't believe how bad this was. I figured it would be bad, but not THIS bad. I also didn't realize how epically stupid Jeremiah and Bella are. Who wouldn't want to marry Jeremiah within a few days after learning he couldn't keep it in his pants for a week. "Breaks" don't count when you've been with someone for two years. That should be a time for mourning the death of relationship, not f***ing around and buying your supposed "ex" a cheap bracelet to apologize for taking the "break" in the first place. Bella touches on some of these thoughts and still just tosses them out the window when Jeremiah presents her with a shitty ring (bought with his daddy's money) AFTER she learned the truth. It may have been marginally more tolerable if he'd been carrying the ring around for a long time. But no. It's a "please take me back" proposal. "I choose you Jer!" is said a dozen times too many for Bella to have a brain. Despite being the only mature kid, Conrad is still made out to be the bad guy for most of this. At one point Jeremiah might as well have said: "I slept with some rando girl after two years of dating Bella (and with whom I talked to in front of Bella *virtual slap to her*), bc you--Conrad--didn't touch Bella over Christmas break and she didn't tell me about even seeing you since nothing happened! You made me cheat!" Yup. Jeremiah is totally the good (read: shitheaded, fuck up) brother of the two, and yet everything bad is Conrad's fault.
