fun!

Great end to a well written, though fast, series. Three books feel short, but the plot makes up for the lack of breadth- mostly. There could have been more added, but it still ended well and offered a twist or two along the way.

Fantasy, slow burn RH, MMMF, first person, multiple POV, minor editing errors.

If there is one thing your arrival taught me, it was what it truly means to care. To feel this, what I stupidly thought I felt before. To realize finally the line between a fantasy I created and the reality of this. I love you, Maisie, because you are smart and kind, because you listen. Because you are mischievous and exasperating, and because you make me smile. But most of all, I love you because you are wholly, entirely, and irrevocably yourself.

Took me long enough to revisit this series!! It’s a very quick read. Once you start it’s impossible to stop.

This ending to Maisie’s story was absolutely perfect and satisfying in every way that makes perfect sense for everyone.

Can’t wait to read Odele’s story soon!!

Fantastic ending to a fantastic series. I started this series very skeptical. I have never liked any mermaid stories. So I went into this with a negative mindset and I was just so very wrong. This is one of my favorite series and it's one I recommend the most to anyone looking for a fantasy RH book. The characters are so real. Each one has real hearts and real flaws and I love that. So many times books have characters who are perfect in every way and I just don't want to read about that. The author really brings the characters to life.

There is going to be a spin off series about Odele. I am looking forward to it. I kind of fell in love with her in this book.

a really good conclusion

The overall story, from book 1 to book 4, was a solid and unique one.
I really enjoyed Aleera’s writing, it was creative and imaginative. The characters came alive off the page.

This book is the conclusion of the Royal Secrets series. It was fast paced, engaging and captivating. Each character held their own voice, their own personality. The story wraps up well enough that it leaves enough room for a spin-off story to begin, Odele’s. The plot twist in this one was supposed to take me by surprised, and while I wasn’t expecting the villain to be who it was, I wasn’t shocked either. It was a let down and for that this story is only a 3.5 star to me. However the overall raising of the series would have to be a 4/5.

what a ride

Check CW and TW. these books had me in their grips. I loved the mystery of where the missing princess was and ultimately who the lost cousin was. I was here for the tension and love between Maisie and her men.

Full of surprises

Ms Ceres has outdone herself yet again with the final installment of Maisies story. She wraps up the world of Thalassar in a neat but tricky bow. Maisie and Odele are reunited and have plans for the crown! Followed closely by her men, Maisie navigates the mysteries of who murdered her mother and whisked her away as a child. Find out in the last installment of the Royal Secrets series!

disappointed

This book could’ve been wrapped up in Book 3. It was unnecessary drama for NOTHING.

Maisie got on my nerves this book. Girl you are in major denial and full of self pity. Like why would you think it couldn’t be you? Her doubting herself made her insufferable. Like she keeps on coming up with reasons not to be a princess.

I thought Odele wasn’t that bad but she was a spoiled brat. I got certain scenes happened for her spin off but Ytgar and Val literally came from no where and Ytgar randomly was like oh marry me instead of Kai.

I didn’t particularly care for the ending. How would the queen have known to use the men against her? It couldn’t have been any worse than the actual situation that happened. And signing her true name was still a breach of contract because the contract was for Odele.
