OK, we get it. Amy is a horror movie buff. So am I, but every thought I have or word I utter does not relate back to a handful of classic horror films. As many times as Halloween is mentioned you would think the novel was commissioned by John Carpenter.
That peeve set aside, the twists were pretty good and it was overall a decent, quick read.

Started off strong but the ending was pretty anticlimactic and honestly a little boring

Randomly popped up as an available audiobook. Not the best thing ever but I did enjoy it.

I think this is lowest average rating book I have ever picked up. I’m glad I read some reviews before hand so my expectations were fair. It was a short easy read and I thought the characters were well written. I enjoyed the nods to horror as well.

it’s not like it was a bad book but it just wasn’t very interesting. towards the end when it was revealed that the burglar was sadie, it made sense. idk why tess tried to attack amy though, maybe seeing her best friend on the floor bleeding out would’ve made her attack, but i feel like her best friend should have had an inkling about what was happening, best friends tell each other everything. i like how the kids called people by their initial instead of their name, it’s endearing.
