A good primer on how to become a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community. Some of it was review for me, but I learned some new things. Mostly it made me think about how I can be more intentional in supporting people who belong to the LGBTQ+ community, and how allies can help create safe spaces and advocate for more inclusive policies.

I learned that I am doing a lot of things right, but I still have a lot to learn about allying.  On the shelf for reference.

Thankfully this did end stronger than it started. This is probably a decent book for someone just starting out with ally work, but overall I found this to be really surface level and very “safe” when I was hoping for something that would teach me something or push me.

I thought this was terrific. Somewhat remedial, yes, but that is appropriate for the target audience. It is an excellent introduction to the subject.
