I listened to this audiobook through my library with Libby.

Brief Summary: Celine and Bradley used to be friends. However, after a misunderstanding led to a fight several years ago they have become rivals. Now in their final year of high school Celine, a conspiracy-obsessed internet sensation, and Bradley, a popular footballer managing his OCD, are thrown back together by one fateful accident. As they are trying to navigate the boundaries of their new relationship they both begin to realize that maybe they are not better off without each other. Perhaps they are meant to be so much more together.

Thoughts: I absolutely one hundred percent loved this book!! Hibbert is an excellent and engaging writer and I am so mad at myself that I have not read any of her books sooner! Everyone should read this book. It is the perfect combination of teenage angst and falling in love for the first time.

Celine and Bradley were such interestingly written characters and I enjoyed their character arcs throughout the book. The way that Celine comes out of her shell and starts to let her guard down with Bradley and her new group of friends is heartwarming. I also love how Hibbert tackles the emotional trauma that Celine is navigating throughout the book.

Bradley's growth throughout the book is also so beautiful. The way that he finally was able to stand up for his dreams could be a whole motivational talk.

The secondary characters were also great throughout the book. I loved the best friends, and the new friends, Celine's sister was the perfect combination of a wise older sister giving you advice and giving you a hard time. I would honestly read a whole series of books that focus on each of the side characters.

If you love reading heartwarming romance novels this is the book for you, but honestly, if you just love love and joy read this book!

While this book made me realize I have major distaste for stories that romanticize overachieving teenagers burning themselves out (definitely not because of my own high school experience why would you even say that), Talia Hibbert has made me cry over disability rep once again.

It's also made me realize that British narrators with terrible American accents is my favorite audiobook genre.

The book is cute, but probably targeted at a younger audience than me. Maybe if I had read it some time ago, I would have absolutely loved it, but at this point a simple high school love is not as engaging to me.

This was a really cute read. I knew that it was YA and so the tone is certainly a little young, but it is still applicable for young adults. The struggle of identifying what you really want and finding the courage to go for it is something that so many people can relate too, whether you are trying to figure out where to start like Bradley and Celine are in this book, or if you are considering whether to start over. The struggle against parents was interesting as well. <SPOILER> For Bradley, it was about finding your own path even though you are afraid your parents may not be proud of you going your own way. For Celine, it was about living her own life and not worrying about her deadbeat dad. As someone who also had a complicated relationship with their father and went through similar experiences, I really relate to Celine's struggle to against proving other people wrong and just living your own life. The weakest part of the plot to me was the actual expedition. It was paced strangely and it took some of the air out of the tension. And then the resolution of Celine and Bradley's rivalry happens really quickly as well, so the tension felt like it dissipated early on in the book and then the second half just kind of passed. <END SPOILER> The plot is fun and the characters are cute; you won't regret spending a few hours on this book :)
