I’ve rarely been this confused about a book, so I can’t even imagine what the author must have felt like for 20 years.

This book doesn’t give any answers, so if that’s what you’re looking for… bad luck 🤷‍♀️

It will make you into the caricature of your favorite conspiracy uncle the whole time you’re reading it. But in the end, it’s likely that you won’t really remember anything other than everyone who worked on this case when the murders happened seem to have been dirty 👀

It’s not a masterpiece, it’s not horrible… it just is, and sometimes you have to accept it ☺️

It’s too much pressure to review a book that is essentially 20 years of a man’s life…but wow! My mind was blown multiple times. I didn’t really know much about the Manson murders before reading this book (it was gifted to me), and I’m glad this was my introduction to it. It was admittedly sometimes overwhelming (lots of names to keep track of), but also thrilling to follow his journey through his investigation and the discoveries.

I hope something comes of the Tex Watson tapes.

Absolutely dizzying. I cannot believe I did not know any of this. Must read and if you love conspiracy theories, you have to read it.

I’ve never given a book this low of a rating as i feel if any reading is good but this book might be the worst book i’ve ever read.

I think the best way to get anything out of this is to look at this as a study of confirmation bias. Many people tell him he’s wrong from his editor, to his parents to charlie himself but he always finds a justification to keep going even as it ruins his life
