This book was a lot of fun! A lot more fun than I was expecting. I found myself frantically turning the pages, and totally unable to skip even a single word. I found the cut-throat race & the underdog aspect of the race to be pretty tedious at times, but it was still a really fun read. I'm not entirely sure where I found this read, but I'm glad I did - and I'll be reading the rest of the series as well.

I recommend this book to fans of the Da Vinci Code (though this is way better), Steven Berry, or more generally action books that are rooted in history.

This book was just plain awesome! It was exciting and nerve-racking and very imaginative. The way the hanging gardens of Babylon were portrayed was quite possible one of the most amazing interpretations of that long lost wonder. I loved this!

Loved this action filled book. Incredibly hard to put down. I couldn't wait to pick up the next book.

Don't really know why I finished it. Stereotypical and cringeworthy characters. Boring action sequences as the traps that have been built up to be so difficult and killed so many are passed with ease. The plot and the idea behind it is really cool and well thought out, but the characters and action absolutely killed it, I felt ill.

3.5/5 - Overall, this was a fun and entertaining one-day read. Ancient mysteries, action-packed thrills, sudden death averted at the last minute, and characters that regularly defy death make this another good example of the action/adventure genre.

Too predictable and cliche, abandoned about half way through.
