To those who know my usual reading tastes, read this one with caution. A lot more gory death happens in this then usual.

Recent Reads: Atomic Lobster. Tim Dorsey's darkly comedic Florida crime fiction returns to Serge Storms and a crowd of characters from previous novels. Revenge, drug smuggling, terrorists, and retired CIA agents all converge on a gated community in Tampa. Watch out for the mimes.

I wanted a funny book for the last days of my vacation and Dorsey fit the bill. Although his coincidences are not quite as good as Donald Westlake wrote in the Dortmunder series, Dorsey does have a way with words.

I had a great time learning about Serge, Coleman, Martha and Jim Davenport and all their compatriots. I would read more about Serge when interested in humorous suspense.

I would recommend this book to folks who like Westlake and Dortmunder and Carl Hiassen (there is the Florida connection).
