i like ""technically"" finished it, but i skimmed SO MUCH that i can't even count it. genuinely SOOOO bad like so bad....reads like a Wattpad story from when i was 13. had to double/triple check i wasn't reading YA fiction. shallow characters, shallow plot. not fleshed out at all, completely one dimensional. basically everything works out perfectly the whole book, except her home life but it didn't even feel believable.... uses a million synonyms for the word said, describes every minute detail of each characters day (i brushed my hair, pulling it into a ponytail, before spritzing myself with perfume and then going to the door to get my shoes BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH)......UUUUGGGGHHHH like i can't believe i read past pg 50, i must've been so out of my mind tired i wasnt processing. OK sorry for the TIRADE (& kinda feel bad if the author ever read this like i know she must've tried damn hard) but i had to RAAANNNTTT why did the library put this up front in BESTSELLERS im sick

This book feels basic like I could’ve written it myself. I prefer prettier prose, but even the story line and dialogue was very simple. Easy ready but also a bit boring. I just felt unfulfilled. Not bad but I wouldn’t recommend it. As a girl who also broke up with her boyfriend for a girl, it didn’t hit the way I wanted to. End U-Haul lesbianism!!!!

Wait…. I’m so confused on why people knock this book. This ticked all my boxes, I was especially happy to see such a well developed romantic relationship that felt realistic, especially from some really raw storylines. Certain segments of the writing almost had me on the verge of tears. I will definitely check out more by Clementine Taylor!

Really enjoyed this.
Felt like a super fun, easy and quick read to get through with a great use of metaphors and loving language which I gravitated to throughout. Sadly, I can't give this 5 stars as I don't think I'd read this again as for me, the re-read possibility isn't there, regardless of this though this book was super fun. Really cute little love story with an interesting contrast between two different worlds within queer love.
Summarised?
A quick, captivating and enjoyable read full of queer love and exploration along with that building excitement which comes with it.

I enjoyed it lots! I really like reading about queer love and it was done well. I'm not a huge fan of the ending sadly. It felt a bit sudden and lazy but will still give it 4 stars as it was a fun read all together :) Would recommend if you want to read a 'quick' love story.
