Not one of Tor's best seasonal collections. The only real standout was Two Truths and a Lie by Sarah Pinsker.

Berlin Is Never Berlin

When a bodyguard is hired to protect the socialite daughter of a man with mob connections, things get out of hand. Action packed and battle heavy. Well written but not really my thing.

Benjamin 2073

While the framework of the story was conceptually interesting, I never felt invested in any of the characters.

Beyond the Dragon's Gate
by Yoon Ha Lee

An incredible build up creating a universe that I would very much like to explore further; however, the ending felt sudden and a little flat.

The Tourist
by Alex Sherman

Exceedingly captivating writing yet a puzzling and peculiar tale. The description is vivid if horrifying, but I've no idea what one is meant to take from the story other than the disturbing images.

We're Here, We're Here
by K.M. Szpara

Beautifully written with a wonderful message, but the ending didn't quite satisfy me.

Two Truths and a Lie

Superbly creepy. Feels like a Twilight Zone episode.

The Night Soil Salvagers

DNF. I couldn't be less interested in this story. Dull and uninspiring.
