Oh man just when I thought the Young Avengers were kind of done this pops up and wows me. I loved it possibly more than the original volume of YA. I mean it has all the characters I did care about (sorry Patriot and Stature) plus America Chavez and Loki, well new good Loki. I enjoyed how Wiccan tried to make things better for Hulking even if he just made things worse. Also im kind of loving the addition of Marvel Boy, he just adds onto a team i already adore. I cant wait to see what Loki's manipulating behind the scenes because I know from Agent of Asgard he's not entirely evil but we know hes not entirely a golden angel either (and thats how we love our god of stories!)
fast-paced
The parts I liked the most were with Loki, but that may be just cause I really like Loki.
I think this was the first Marvel I ever began, when I didn't even know who Kate Bishop was or that "kree" wasn't a sound. Now I came back to it and fully enjoyed it: It is so good. It ticks all the Representation Matters boxes (lgtb, women, race), the art is exceptional and the script is great, funny and well written. It does something very difficult sometimes when you have a lot of characters in a single volume, which you are -kinda- introducing for the first time: they don't get lost in you, each and everyone have well rounded full personalities you instantly connect with. What a joy! Perhaps a little too teenager-y for me, but I mean... it's "young" avengers, it's what it is.
3.5 the whole volume was just introducing the plot not much happened
This graphic novel series is funny, evocative, and just plain great to look at. Is it possible to fall in love with comic book characters cos I think I have.
