On the verge between 4 and 5. Things that make it almost a five are Miss America Chavez being awesome, Game of Thrones references (of course everyone loves Tyrion, they are teenagers!), and of this sentence: "Gods are not like people. They are real. We are creatures of Story." (And Loki, but he was the reason to pick up this comic, so I was bound to like him.)
Waited too long to read this!
I mean, it's Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, of course it's excellent!

Yeah, okay, I get it. It's really good and really gay and I'm reading the rest of this run as soon as I can.
This was much better than I expected. We have kickass heroes, it's diverse and we even have my favorite God of mischief. Looking forward to seeing how this continues in later volumes.
Defiantly recommend.

The comic rock stars, Gillen and McKelvie, dive into the world of the Young Avengers. Its not exactly the same team or even dynamic that we've seen in the past but its really good. The addition of young Loki is great. Love me some Kid Loki. By far the best part of the book is the relationship between Wiccan and Hulkling. Its an amazingly touching love story and handled perfectly by Gillen. Jamie McKelvie's art is brilliant. He does superheroics well while being grounded in reality. My only complaint is Miss America. She lacks.....well a lot. Hopefully the creative team can turn her around in the next volume. Overall, a great read.
I feel like we weren't given a lot of introduction into what the characters have been up to.
I love Gillen and McKelvie. I'll always read anything they write together. Superhero books would not be my first choice, but I loved the previous Young Avengers so I was glad for them to be the ones to bring it back. I like the characters that were new to me and I'm glad to see the others return, but most of all it made me long for Phonogram v. 3 to finally come out.
