so many plot points all perfectly solved in 100 pages. we started a fucking kidnapping plot with less than 100 pages left. this book had so many plot points, so many loose ends just perfectly tied up into a bow. she went from hating him to marrying him in literally the same chapter. also! pregnancy.

it was never addressed that she hated that tattoo, that he forced her to get pregnant, harper's moms involvement, etc.

writing was okay, just horrible pacing. if u wanted to do all of those plot points make the book longer. u don't get to have a short read and a lot of plot!! that's not how it works.

I'm happy with the conclusion of this duet, but still felt it was lacking in build. The story is good, the characters mostly likeable but it just fell a bit short. The plot & the characters could have used more building, more depth but in the pace of the story they had some good growth. Overall it was a good story & had satisfying ending. I loved the best friend & hope there's a book to come about her bc she was comical 😆

This book definitely had a better plot than the first book, but it was so infuriating. Hayden is a narcissist and Calista just accepted his behavior. For God’s sake he made her OBGYN inject her with saline instead of her birth control meds and then knowingly got her pregnant, all while she was clueless. He should’ve admitted to that when he was exposed for his earlier crimes in the book. I’m also frustrated because Calista downplayed the fact that this man KILLED her father and then preyed on her. This is wild.
