In cca 1500 books I've read so far in my life this is the first one I find repulsive. Red flags that I can't justify. I did read it to be sure and yes I did highlight a lot but still he was just wrong in so much. Even if it's not the same genre, Tamlin is a baby to Hayden and f*cking someone with a gun or a knife like Z did is also nothing to Hayden.

To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. All this pulling and tugging between them got tedious and boring. When we finally find out "the culprit" of everything, it all ends in literally one paragraph. In this book I hated Callie so much, just complaining and not accepting her emotions. Not one moment of this story did I say: "Aww Callie you are so cute." The truth is that this book was unnecessary, I would have preferred the first one to be longer and to close the story in it. At least 100 pages of this book could have been avoided because they're her complaining. Oh well, what a shame.

So disappointed. The first book was so good. This one didn’t feel like it was written by the same author. The quality of the writing was substantially inferior. The entire story was completely unrealistic. I know we read books to escape. We don’t need realistic. However, there is no way any woman would make the decisions she did. There wasn’t even one thing he did that was redeemable. She just forgave him, 🫰 just like that. She kept apologizing at the end. He acted like she owed it to him. He never apologized to her for all the shit he did to her. He never even admitted he went about things the wrong way. There wasn’t even one lie she never found out about. The sex scenes, which were few, could not have been written by the same person that wrote the first book. The were terrible. There wasn’t even a lot of being told this then that happened rather than us experiencing it as it happened. None of what happened in this book was true love. Even though I loved the first book, I wished I hadn’t read it, because then I’d have to the read this one to get answers.
