Favorite Quote:

How often does a girl find out that the man she’s living with is her stalker?” “How often does a man find a woman he’d destroy the world for?”

To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. All this pulling and tugging between them got tedious and boring. When we finally find out "the culprit" of everything, it all ends in literally one paragraph. In this book I hated Callie so much, just complaining and not accepting her emotions. Not one moment of this story did I say: "Aww Callie you are so cute." The truth is that this book was unnecessary, I would have preferred the first one to be longer and to close the story in it. At least 100 pages of this book could have been avoided because they're her complaining. Oh well, what a shame.

Okay so let me start by saying I enjoyed this duet. BUT I’m so dam frustrated ! These two books could have most definitely been written into one. I didn’t feel like I got enough of there story with how short both these books were. They were so rushed and kinda all over the place. But my main complaint is the way it just ended like really! No leading up to an ending just ended out of nowhere with nothing to grasp onto almost like I died before I could finish the dam book! I’m so frustrated that if a third one doesn’t come out I will not read anything else from this author because I feel this is how their writing style is. I can’t stand the fact that I’ll never get to see how their story ends and if you read this duet you will understand what I’m saying without giving away the story.

DID NOT FINISH

This book I only continued from the first because I wanted to see development.

There is none. The sad part is... I don't give a shit about the main characters, I'm more interested in the knowledge of who did it. How are the women connected?

I don't even like thrillers or suspense...but thats the only interest I could gain for this.

Callie is one of the worst written characters I've read in a long time and Hayden is akin to Jesse Ward from This Man.....just a mess of a characterization that is not redeeming.

DNF @ Chapter 12

2⭐️
Hayden is one of the WORST mmc's I have ever read about.
The first book was fun.
But this...this book offended me.
The pregnancy
The father
All of it
Just a big fucking no.
I think at some point Hayden lobotomised Calista! That girl was just out of it.
She was manipulated to fuck.
This is one of those book couples that will sure as fuck either get a divorce or kill eachother at some point.
In my mind, there's an epilogue to this book.
Calista realizes that she is with a monster, kills him and runs away
Now, that is a happily ever after.

*****SPOILER******

I really liked the duet however the pregnancy trope through this book kinda ruined it for me. Overall I loved the dynamic between the FMC and MMC, and her bestie, great....amazing!! I loved it, until it became all about him getting her pregnant. I finished it....but I didn't love the ending.
