Not so boring that I want to quit reading the series, and not so exciting that I want to make it my first read of the day.

This book felt, in many ways, like a repeat of the previous book. Same main character in a similar feeling situation, more strange happenings in the mysterious world of the House.

I read this book over a period of time (which didn't help matters). Having got to the end I wasn't really left with a memorable image or anything that set it apart from the first book in the series. So - it is looking like this series is not for me.

A strong continuation of the series

I loved this series growing up

I still find it interesting that Nix riffed on the seven deadly sins for this series, as if they're somehow masking the keys to life and are just waiting to be overcome. This installment was nearly as good as the first (though not quite as gripping). Nix does a great job of weaving characters and events throughout the plot, and adds plenty of humor and double meanings for the adult reader.

Another good book in this series. I've realized that not only does each book have a day of the week, each day is afflicted with one of the seven deadly sins. I kind of like this theme thing. I'm also beginning to think that this whole series might take place over the course of a week of "our time". This was an enjoyable book with interesting characters and I think it's shaping up to be a good series as a whole.
