This is one of my all-time favourite graphic novels, probably second only to Black Magick. If you like Wytches or Saga, this is definitely up your alley. Hard to say much more about it without giving anything away!

I got the comic brainworm and subbed to comixology because they have a 30 day free trial and I’m cheap. I used to read a lot of superhero comics when I was younger, but now I’m a depressed adult so this was a great series to start with. The art and story are fantastic, and has mastered the horror and suspense of a page turn. If you’re reading this on some sort of device like I am (yay iPad), I highly recommend using cinematic mode. Although part of me is still a comic purist and I was to see the layout of the frames and everything, cinematic mode makes things WAY spookier. Starting volume 2 now :)

This installment got me hooked on the start of this series. I find the topic matter heavy, but interesting, and it ties in some “real world” issues into this more fantasy world. Not a lot of exposition or growth yet, it’s just the first book in the installment and it’s doing more world building than development, but I enjoy it regardless.

Essa amostra do primeiro capítulo do quadrinho foi muito interessante. Foi uma forma de fazer as pessoas terem vontade de ler o volume inteiro.
Valeu a pena.

Really great mystery so far, I enjoy the art style a lot. Even in still frames there's a sense of motion. This story got me to say "what the fuck!" out loud multiple times. I'm intrigued by basically everything. The grief was palpable, everyone is acting in a fucked up way but you get it because this entire town is going through a mass trauma together. Every character in this story is broken in some way.

I don't usually read very fast, but I read this during basically all of my very little free time.

I think it probably goes without saying because of the title, but to be clear: this is about children being slaughtered. It is shown in graphic detail. If you can't handle seeing a half-alive dismembered child, which is super understandable, then this story is not for you. It's not that it's as realistic as a movie, that's obviously not possible. It's just really, really gruesome. I have a strong stomach and I had a hard time with this, but it was worth it.

I picked this up as a quick, casual read out of curiosity because I wasn't mad about the art style but was curious about the story and the comic. WOW am I glad I did!

I don't even want to explain much about the plot, just read it! If you enjoy dark, action filled comics with mystery of course, you need to pick this one up!

I did not think I would love this as much as I did! It was captivating and suspense filled. I was on the edge of my seat, flying through the pages, dying to know what happens next!

I cannot wait to read the next volume and see what happens next!
