I feel like this was a completely gratuitous read. I got the friends to lovers trope with a whole lot of banter + smut. Basic premise is two boys best friends in high school but after an โincidentโ one of them completely cuts the other off. They meet four years later as hockey rivals. Very cute and also mostly very light. I wish the two of them had more distinct personalities, otherwise, good romance. Oh and I was completely wrecked by how completely in love with Jamie Wes was from the start. I think Iโm a little obsessed with pining.

I definitely went into this not knowing what to expect other than a little hockey and a lot of abs (cover, ya know). I really enjoyed the dynamic between Jamie and Ryan and it was so enjoyable getting the backstory and how much history there was between the two of them.
