I truly enjoy reading about Brice Campbell and his amazing life. I appreciate how down to earth he is. I would love to know him in real life. He is funny, a hard worker, a strong writer, has a great sense of humor. It was just great to read about the rest of his career up until now. I hope we get one more from him. :)

Bruce Campbell talking about how wool socks are most comfortable in Florida heat is delightful.

After the last few books I've read sent me spiraling into depression, I looked at my shelf and thought, "what could bring me out of this?" Bruce Campbell, obviously. If you enjoyed "If Chins Could Kill," you'll enjoy this one too. The memoir is a light-hearted romp through Bruce's post-Evil Dead/Brisco/Xena career including Bubba Ho-Tep, Burn Notice, and Ash vs. the Evil Dead. What's really fun is the myriad projects (many of which never get made) and fun stories in between. Shooting B horror in Bulgaria? Got it. Messing with meth-heads in the Oregon wilderness? Got it. It's a lot of fun, and you can read it in Bruce's voice which really helps to brighten any day.

The back nine of his career just wasn't as interesting as the first book. Initially started as a travelogue there's a lot more about filming in distance countries and what it's like to live in Oregon (spoiler: wild animals and country folk).

I don't usually read memoirs, but Campbell seemed like a safe bet. Yep! I really liked his stories about Hollywood and living in Oregon. He really gets into the nitty-gritty of it all rather than sugarcoating everything which is fun.

4 stars - It was really good

Bruce Campbellā€™s second memoir about his time as a B movie actor picks up shortly after he ends the previous book. This one focuses mostly on his career in the late 90s up to 2016. This one mainly focuses on his time in Burn Notice, Buba Ho-Tep, Spider Man, and ends with the first season of Ash v. Evil Dead. I really enjoyed this follow up memoir and hope he does end up writing part three because I would love to see what he says about his parts in movies like Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and his views on the upcoming Evil Dead movie. If you are a fan of Campbell I highly recommend checking out these memoirs in audiobook format because his narration makes it worth listening to.
