Amazing memoir. Truly incredible that the author was able to create such a successful adult life for herself after the abuse and dysfunction she experienced as a child at the hands of her parents.

3.5 stars. This is an incredible story, just not incredibly told. It felt as though it took Walls quite a while to hit her stride in the storytelling of her life. Up till then, it was rather a string of incidents put together as essays.
