Ho studiato la Divina Commedia alle media e letto i soliti canti che si studiano a scuola e già ne ero innamorata. Sfruttando l’uscita di Katabasis ho deciso di leggere l’Inferno in maniera integrale e ne è valsa la pena. Non è una lettura facile, visto che è più uno studio, ma rimane un capolavoro. È sicuramente pesante per la lingua e per il carico di riferimenti storici ma è anche piena di dialoghi divertenti e/o carichi di emozioni che la rendono una lettura attuale e umana comunque.

This book reminds me of Gilmore Girls - the more historical, social and literary references you can grasp, the more fulfilling the story. It’s worth it to research the names and events throughout.
