This book seems poorly written compared to others I’ve read by this author. Chapters ended abruptly. There were two people who had a whole ass conversation with the FMC and MMC and they never even got names??? Just called “the lady” or “one of the girls” - just seemed lazy to me. Narrators were good but the story was a yawn.

Second chance, workplace, insta love, guardian, lost letter
MMC: Maddox Lovelace; 36
FMC: Hannah Utley; 35 (Bunny)
They meet in college and instantly connect and fall for each other and after a week she mother gets a stroke and she has to drop out but doesn’t have his number to let him know (stupid I know), so she writes him a letter (the novella covers it all) that he never gets then flash forward 15 years later and he just bought a new company after retiring and pro football and guess who works at the company :)
It had lots of cute good moments that have you awwing and also some bad ones but it was okay.
“Twenty minutes. I moved back to town seven years ago, and during that time, Hannah was either at home, at the flower shop, or working her way up the ranks at the company I now own. Meaning, for seven fucking years, she’s been only twenty fucking minutes away. And I had no idea.”
“Mon Petite Lapin. My little bunny. Heat floods my chest, and I turn my head to look up at Maddox.”
The family moments were cute too!

Though i'm not a super fan of second chance romance, this one was such a cute and light read, really loved the story and connection between the characters

This was a cute second chance romance and a little bit cliché in that. I already knew what was going to happen. I would’ve liked to see their love story evolve a little bit more, but maybe I’m just asking for too much.
