'Green Arrow #7' by Benjamin Percy with art by Stephen Byrne is a pretty good story with art that I really liked.

The story goes back and forth between now and a year ago. In the past, Green Arrow has been captured by The Clock King and he has to outsmart him. In the present, Emiko finds herself captured by the Dragon who is none too happy about her part in the sinking of The Inferno. For payback, he wants her to fight in the arena.

It's an okay story, but the art by Stephen Byrne is why I stuck around. It was a style that reminded me a bit of Ken Steacy. I liked the art a lot. I also liked how they kept Green Arrow in the issue even though previous events have him offstage for now.

I received a review copy of this issue from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this comic book.

Dissapointing doesn't even begin to describe my feeling for the one series I most looked forward to in the REBIRTH era .

With Oliver still stuck on the island i fully expected the storyline to focus on the likes of Black Canary and Emi and last issue did focus on the Emi storyline and it showed a flashback incident involving clockmaster (No not the Batman villain , it's different , i think) and it showed plenty of prospect . Sadly it all ended in this issue with all sorts of weirdness and rubbish that was a old trademark of Green Arrow when it simply wasn't cool .

The fact that the whole Clock master thing played out as it did and ended with such a anticlimax really did bog this issue down , but one expected the Yakuza - Emi - Shado saga to atleast end with a bang and yet that turned out to be even more dissapointing .

Needless to say Schimdt and Ferreya kept the excellant art coming but sadly it didn't help with the weak story put forward in this issue. It's a concerning trend for Green Arrow considering it was a truly fabulous first few month until but the last 2 issues had indicated a downward spiral and this was complete dip in the storyline . Hopefully Ben Percy will turn it all around and deliver in the upcoming issues
