This book was SO bad in the beginning, I almost dropped, but the writing is good and I was already over 30% so why not? But suddenly this became so much more? The ending it's really good and I must say, I believe this is the best triangle? Square? Whatever, it's the best triangle-like plot that I ever read, I >really< don't know who he's gonna choose and that's so fun!

Tristan is the first book in the Tristan series.
Tristan is the next in line to be the warlord of Markaytia. At least he was until he is told that he will wed an elf prince, Corrick. Not only is Tristan not going to be a warlord he is not even going to be able to fight. While he is on top of the food chain in his kingdom in the elf kingdom, Mortouge, Tristan will be the prince's bride. His life is completely turned on its head when he finds out he will be ripped from his family, have his name changed, and be turned into an elf.
I liked Tristan and felt for him after he lost pretty much everything. He continues to be strong and deals with the hand he's been given, but he can be a bit dramatic, which I think is expected given the situation, but he did stuff he shouldn't have to get back at Corrick, which was a bit annoying. There is a BDSM part to the story, which is thrown in without much introduction, but Tristan takes to it fast like a natural, and we find out it's also something seen in his kingdom and not just an elf thing.
This story was good. There were so many twists and turns. There were words in the story I think we should have gotten a translation for at times, so I was a bit confused. But there was so much that happened in a single book that I found things rushed; however, I am in a hurry to read the next book. After reading the blurb for the next book, I see it somehow turns into a ménage. I must know what is going to happen.
