adventurous dark informative mysterious

In-depth and satisfying in a ton of ways--this book was incredible. It goes all the way back to Lewis and Clark (and then jumps ahead a bit) and honestly ALL of the information is very interesting. The format of this book is also really cool; you are given a dossier, compiler unknown, by an FBI agent, also unknown. You yourself are an FBI agent and are meant to examine the dossier and determine who compiled it. The agent makes comments to you in footnotes throughout the whole thing. A TON of my questions about Twin Peaks have been answered after reading this book and it has made me even more stoked about the reboot!!!!

hard to evaluate this as an actual novel, but it's a fun companion piece to the series.

This book really turned it around for me at the end. The first part was really interesting, but then it really started to drag when they were covering things well outside of Twin Peaks. Once it drew everything together in the final part of this book I found myself really enjoying everything that came before it.

I found myself feeling nostalgia when the book spoke of characters from the show, and enjoyed seeing a more in-depth look at their past, shedding light on things we already knew / were hinter at in the show.

The format for this story was the most crucial aspect for my enjoyment. I loved the different media, in a more true form of "literature found footage". By the end, I found it very satisfying.

I just had to get through all that alien stuff at the second quarter ;)

Mark Frost isn't kidding when he says this is a secret history of Twin Peaks. Even explorers Lewis & Clark tie into the story. I picked this up to learn more about the characters from the show and what they'd been up to in the last 25 years, but the book doesn't really cover that. You do get more information about some stories from the original series. The rest of the book is for a true die-hard Twin Peaks fan.

i love twin peaks so damn much

If you’ve watched Twin Peaks, this is absolutely a must read. If you haven’t, this book will make absolutely no sense to you. Honestly, even if you have, it won’t make sense but it’ll be really fun.

I really enjoyed this Secret History and I loved how it tied real things in history to the mythology and spookiness of Twin Peaks. The writing was fantastic and it clarified a couple things from the season 2 finale.

A must-read for any Twin Peaks fan.
