I honestly don't fully know what to think about this book. it was very interesting, reading all the articles and interviews was fascinating and made me feel like I was part of an investigation myself (I love escape rooms and other things of that nature so this was especially remarkable for me) and loved reading through and figuring things out.
however I also feel like... confused? I don't want to say nothing really happened, because of course there was a LOT that happened, but... I'm not sure. maybe I have to sit on it a bit more. I do believe a solid 4, maaaaybe a 4.5 rating is accurate though.
all in all I did enjoy my time reading it and would highly encourage others to pick it up as well!

Did not feel like continuing the audiobook - still good though!
I do not give enough of a shit about Twin Peaks lore to slog through this series of bland journal entries.

Another Twin Peaks rewatch has led me back to TSH, the weaker of the two. Does a great job at adding a whole lot of lore to the Twin Peaks universe, but so much of it is just too dense and dull to really thrill me. An absolute must for big TP fans, but arguably not as crucial to understanding the show as The Final Dossier is.

If you've watched all the episodes of Twin Peaks and Fire Walk with Me and read the secret diary of Laura Palmer, you might as well read this too!
There's not really much to say about this as it is mostly a factual book mixed together with mostly fiction. It's very believable and Mark Frost has done a great job here!
This hardcover edition I have is beautiful! Very high quality pages and it is bound very well.
The downside for me is that it dragged on quite a lot and wasn't really overly interesting for the most part. Also, a few parts of this felt very forced. For example, there is a report written by Hawk who tells us about how he has been very close friends to Big Ed Hurley since childhood. From what I recall from the TV series, I can't remember them ever speaking to each other. But besides that, it was quite good.
I feel that you can only read this book if you have watched the TV series and the film. Otherwise, it wouldn't make much sense.
I can't see this being the 'bridge' between seasons 2 & 3 which airs next month. So you don't have to read this before watching season 3.
It could have done with being quite a bit shorter, but it was nice to read about the history of Twin Peaks and the many mysteries surrounding it.
I do recommend it to fans of Twin Peaks, but don't expect it to set your socks on fire!

I’m a sucker for all things Twin Peaks related, so take this with a grain of salt, but this is a damn fine book. If you’re not too invested in the series you probably won’t like it too much, but it’s a totally rewarding experience if, like me, you’re fascinated by Lynch and Frost’s beautifully bizarre world.
50% actual Twin Peaks delivered in a compelling found-document style like House of Leaves, 50% tedious, generic pulp fiction about a character I don't care about investigating UFOs in a story that has almost nothing to do with the show. Only for fans. The Final Dossier is much better and more concise.
While some of the parallels are a bit far-fetched (tying Nixon to the mythos and even Lewis and Clark), the book was still a fun read for a big Twin Peaks fan. I would definitely recommend the audio version, which is read by a large number of the cast and really adds a lot to the experience. I don't know that I would have enjoyed it as much in print.
