Omg i started it last night and was a quarter through and started crying when rune told poppy he was leaving then the next few chapters to when he was leaving to that two page chapter for rune of when poppy didn’t answer him. i then put it down and back up again today and started crying half way through when poppy told rune she was dying i then cried again when three quarters the way through when she collapsed and rune had to call 911. then i cried again at the end she died. ive never cried so much for a book. A book has never hit me so hard before. I 1000% recommend it ( see what i did there lol). I also dont think ive wanted to find out what happened so much in a book before. Also I don’t really know what happened in the epilogue? Did rune die? Is that why he can feel the area around him with poppy?

* For the souls who love with everything they have, even when time is fleeting. For the ones who understand that goodbye doesn’t mean love ends, it just means love carries on, differently.
~ “One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.”
Prepare your heart and then prepare for it to break.
A Thousand Boy Kisses is not just a love story. It’s a soul story. It’s the kind of book that nestles deep into your chest and refuses to let go, even long after the last page has been turned.
Tillie Cole crafts a hauntingly beautiful narrative of first love, forever love, and the kind of connection that defies even time itself. Poppy and Rune’s story is both tender and tumultuous, filled with stolen moments, aching silences, and a deep, poetic devotion that feels too big for words and yet, Tillie finds the perfect ones every time.
What sets this book apart is how present the love feels. Every kiss every single one of the thousand is a heartbeat, a memory, a promise. You feel every breath, every tear, every swell of joy and grief. And while it shattered me, it also reminded me of how achingly beautiful it is to love with your whole heart.
If you’ve ever wondered whether young love can be eternal, whether grief and beauty can coexist, or whether a book can truly change the way you see love this one will answer you.
This is not just a five-star read. This is an experience.
And I’ll carry it with me always.
