The second book in the awesome trilogy by Cate Tiernan is even better than the first book. Nas is begin to accept simply life of working on becoming a better person until everything start going wrong. again. this time she think that she is going dark and runs away from the safe of river's edge, She finds out her friend and begin her partying ways again. but come to find out, one of her friend is turning again her and wants her power.

This was really good. Better than the first book. Nast is a character who grows as the book goes along and I loved it.

Nastasija ist auf Rivers Farm um dort ihre Dunkelheit zu überwältigen um endlich ein besserer Mensch zu werden. Dort hat sie aber einige Probleme, denn sie fühlt sich nicht zu recht dazugehörig und Reyn ist auch noch da. Reyn und Nastsija fühlen sich unglaublich doll zueinader hingezogen, nur leider verfolgt sie eine schreckliche gemeinsame Vergangeheit, die Nastasija nicht einfach vergessen kann. Denn Reyn war der Winterschlächter und hat ihre Familie umgebracht und Nastastasijas Mutter hat Reyns Bruder bei lebendigem Leib gehäutet. Reyn versucht sich an Nastasija anzunähern, doch sie versucht im möglichst aus dem Weg zu gehen. Und irgendwann geht dann für Nastasija alles schief,sie wird gekündigt, ihre Zauber gehen daneben und so fliegen Bücher durch die gegen. Sie glaubt sie ist absolut dunkel und meint das wirkt sich auch auf die anderen aus. Jede Nacht träumts sie von Incy wie er eines Tages einfach vor ihrer Tür oder im Wald steht und auf sie wartet. Irgendwann passiert dann auch das Incy ist plötzlich im Wald und möchte Nastsija zu sich hohlen. Es scheint als hätte sie Incy geändert, er überlässt ihr alle Entscheidungen und versucht sie zu verwöhnen. Doch Nastasija merkt das irgendetwas nicht stimmt...
Ich finde Ersehnt ist ein wirkich gut gelungenes Buch. Manchmal kam ich nicht so gut vorran besonders am Anfang, doch am Ende ging alles so schnell ich wollte das Buch garnicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Ich finde man sieht schon einen deutlichen Unterschied zwischen der Nastasija früher und jetzt in diesem Teil und ich finde das super. Sie ist wirklich eine tolle Figur und passt so gut zu Reyn. Ich freue mich jetzt auf den dritten TEil um endlich zu wissen wie alles endet.

Esta es la verdadera continuación de un primer libro, increíblemente me gusto igual o más que el primero.
Tengo que confesar que Nass como en el primero libro me saca cansas y mucho estrés por sus decisiones mal tomadas, por su narcisismo y su terquedad a la vida, pero igual todo como se desarrolla en general, me gusto.
Sin embargo, tengo que confesar que el momento de la "batalla" del desenlace, de LO IMPORTANTE, toda pasa muy rápido y cuando ha pasado ya todo quedas como "WTF? YA?", eso me incomodó un montón.
Respecto a los personajes, los describiré con una palabra:
Nass: ¡¡TERCA!!
Incy: Oscuridad
River: Amor y paciencia (Ups, dos)
Reyn: Bebesito :3
No puedo decir más, no quiero spoilear y ahí le voy con el tercero a ver que pasa.

These days I usually stay away from YA paranormal romance as if they have contagious diseases. But this series snagged my cynical YA PNR affections from the first book, Immortal Beloved, and dug its hook in deeper with this worthy sequel, DARKNESS FALLS.
There’s something about Nastasya’s voice. There really is. There’s probably no other explanation for why I enjoy this series so very much. Nastasya is sardonic and witty without being dramatic. Her commentary is very much 21st-century, which sometimes takes away from the authenticity of her past identities, but is nevertheless appealing to readers.
Nastasya’s narration carries her past some subjectively large bumps in the story, such as the slooow plot, the sputtering romance, and the melodramatic climax. For there is not much plot: the majority of DARKNESS FALLS involves Nastasya reflecting on her previous actions and wondering whether or not she is incurably dark. The romantic development with Reyn is put to the wayside as Nastasya grows as a person, which can be frustrating for Nastasya-Reyn shippers. And the melodramatic climax is exactly that.
However, there really is something special about the character of Nastasya, because I never got bored, or rolled my eyes (too much), or felt apathetic. I enjoyed snorting at Nastasya’s commentary and silently cheered her on as she learned and suffered and remembered and grew.
In the end, then, I guess I can say that the Immortal Beloved series is one I would recommend to those who think they are seriously tired of YA paranormal romance, and those who love snarky protagonists. I can’t wait to read the third and final book!

Immortal Nastasya is 459 years old but looks and unfortunately has the maturity of seventeen. Trying to rectify her bad girl ways, she has gone to River’s Edge in Massachusetts. With the help of River and the other teachers, Nastasya and the others are learning to use their magick for good while living the farm life. A make out session in the barn with the drop-dead gorgeous Reyn quickly turns into the horrible realization that Reyn and his family terrorized her homeland of Iceland for the first one hundred years of her life. At the age of 470 with the looks of 20, Reyn was known as the Butcher of Winter at the time. He killed everyone in her family after her family killed most of his. To add insult to injury, Nell, who was pining for Reyn unbeknownst only to him, sees them kissing and goes off the deep end. River has to send her away for treatment.
New Years Eve is a time for reflection at River’s Edge and the residents gather for a magick circle. They reflect and release something they no longer need; Nastasya decides to release her darkness. She is beginning to realize that most of her choices in life have been self centered and she is trying to right her wrongs. Feeling a bit insecure, she lags behind and finds herself alone. She is frightened when she hears something and is startled when Reyn comes towards her. He has noticed that she doesn’t like to be alone in the dark. As they are walking back towards the farmhouse, their feelings for one another ignite and they are soon kissing. When they break apart, Nastasya is full of regrets and Reyn is hurt.
One week later, Nastasya feels her life is in total disarray. By casting out her darkness, she thinks she has released he dark magic to cause havoc on everyone around her. Not only does she feel she is hurting those at River’s Edge and the drug store but Nastasya beings seeing her past in a different light. A distraught and emotional, Nas break down to River and then runs out into the night. Crying in the snow in a seldom used field, she hopes that Reyn or someone will at least come looking for her. To her surprise, Incy is her rescuer. Soon he talks her into returning with him to Boston and the good times they had.
What are Incy’s true motives for having Nastasya be a part of his life? Did she make the right choice of going with him and leaving River’s Edge? What will River and the others think when she is discovered missing? And will Nastasya be able to put Reyn out of her mind?

In Darkness Falls Nastasya starts to get restless at Rivers Edge, and after a string of bad things happening decides its her fault and leaves. n the process of leaving Rivers Edge Nastasya bumps into Incy who persuades her to join him and her old friends.
Nastasya goes back to her old ways of partying but now she can actually see what she is doing and starts to have doubts about her old lifestyle. It all finally comes to blows when she notices Incy using magick and draining energy from a human and confronts him. This results in her getting the see the other side of Incy and chaos ensues.
I loved Darkness falls as much as Immortal Beloved. I really liked that we got to revisit Nastasya's old lifestyle but actually get a look into her thoughts about her feelings of it all, especially after her stay at Rivers Edge. I really didn't like the way Incy used Nastasya for her power and pretended that everything was OK between them but I really enjoyed how Cate has wrote about him and how quickly he changed from being nice to being horrible.
From the moment I started Darkness Falls couldn't put it down. Once again Cate has wrote a great book with enough action to keep you engrossed and wanting to find out more. I really can't wait to read the third instalment for this series.
