✨4.5 STARS ✨

I think there’s something wrong with me, because I remain very interested in Knight. That being said, Hans was fantastic. I think a lot of us can relate to having a Hans in our past, an SO that wasn’t meant to be forever but that taught us a lot of important lessons that we needed to learn to be ready for the real thing.

This book made me smile, laugh, and tear up. Was Hans a cliché, sensitive, hard-partying rock star? Yes. Did I really care? No. Our narrator remains the star of the show, and I can’t wait to see how it all ends for her. (And Knight, obvs).

When I started this book, I didn't know what to expect! I thought, this will be great, a rockstar romance! But then the disclaimer from the author stating the events are based on her life put the book in a whole new perspective for me. Hans and BB, what a couple! Hans is the man, just too good to be true! There is so much going on, getting the band going, women throwing themselves at him, trying to keep his life together and working on a relationship with the woman he loves that it can be overwhelming. For the most part, I loved him, always the doting boyfriend and saying the right things. BB soaked it all in, Hans was giving her just what she needed, giving her self worth confidence. There were times BB drove me crazy, the way she handled her jealousy was just too much, but I do think maturity has a lot to do with it. I could see how as the book progressed, there were changes in both characters and BB was beginning to see herself differently. This is definitely not your typical rock star romance, it encompasses some humor, past abusive relationships, drug abuse, PTSD, and getting to know yourself. I think the book is a lot of fun and does take you on the band tour, but fills in the behind the scenes story. A good listen!

Ramona Master is perfect for this narration. Her voice has that new adult sound giving BB the ability to grow from high school graduate to graduate school. I enjoyed her male voices too, and she had quite a few to do. From Hans to Knight, she is able to give them each a voice so you know exactly who is speaking. I will watch for more by her.

Another MUST read by BB Easton!! Star is my favorite book in the series so far!! It’s crazy how much I enjoyed this one. Sweet, lust filled and emotional; and all told with BBs typical brand of wit and ease. I'm a sucker for a sweet hero and that's Hans. He is so lovable… well, for the most part at least. After all the disastrous relationships prior to this one, you can't help but root for the swoony “backward” rock star.

This book is amazing and addictive and it pulls you right in. Book by book, I fall more and more in love with BB’s style of writing. Every word flows so easily and effortlessly into the next. Her storytelling is second to none. She makes it feel like you’re standing next to her experiencing everything right along with her. I cannot recommend this book and this series enough.

Oh, oh, oh. We also get little glimpses of BB and Ken together. Ahh! I'm not going to lie, there was some legit fangirl squealing going on over here during the Ken parts. Passages were highlighted and bookmarked. I am so freaking excited for Suit. It’s safe to say I'm in love with their story already.

I might have gone backwards, but I love rockstar romance books, so when I saw the cover I got it and read it, then found out it was the third of a series, I am so going back to read the other two and will wait for the next one. I loved it, I was able to meet BB Easton a week after I read this book and now I totally get the story. Five Stars aren't enough! BTW the audiobook is amazing!

I received a complimentary audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review of Star: A 44 Chapters Novel. I loved 44 Chapters and Skin. I haven't read Speed yet but as soon as I'm done writing this review I'm going to use one of my coveted Audible credits to get it and immediately start listening. Even though I have about 10 years on BB AND grew up in New York city, I find her stories so familiar but way more entertaining. I feel a nostalgia reading these books. I loved diving in to BB's and Hans story. It was perfect. BB matured in this book. As far as narration, Ramona Master is perfect. She is truly the voice if the author. She brings so much feeling and I can't imagine anyone else narrating this series.
This book was awesome and I highly recommend Star and the whole 44 Chapters series. I'm so looking forward to Suit.

"you're the first star I see. before anything in the sky, I see you."
this is the third book in the 44 chapters series and i highly recommend reading the first 3 before this one.
this is Young BB and Hans (LDH) story.
hans is a up and coming Rock star with the tattoos and look of a rocker.
"true love didn't hurt."
I love young BB so much she is such a lost soul, just trying to find her way.
I love how authentic Ms Eastons writing is.
I'm stoked for suit to come out.

Gaaaah! I love this so much. I'm totally reading these books backwards, but I kind of like it.

I know this is Hans' love story, but man oh man Ken knows how to steal the show. (I see why Colleen Hoover loves him lol). The more and more I read about Knight, man I'm so terrified of him and honestly I feel like that book is going to be SO INTENSE, that I don't know if I can handle it.

These books are just so damn addicting because even though they may be dramatized a bit they're realistic. You feel and can relate 100%. Your personal experiences may not be as extreme, but we've all dealt with maybe not being treated the best in a relationship or jealousy. Plus the playlists are always badass.

Highly recommend and enjoyed.

These books have quickly become my favorite. BB is so good at making the reader feel all of the emotions. I fall in love when she does, I cry when she does, and my heart breaks when her does. I cannot wait for Suit.
