I loved this book. It was somehow a perfect mix of romantic and ridiculous, a romp of a road trip and a quiet yearning for another person. I was invested in the characters and their story right away. High marks for the audiobook narrators too.

Beth O'Leary delivers another stunning, emotional romance with this incredible story of second chances and growth. There were some truly dark moments here — Marcus's entire character was very difficult to handle, often — alongside the traditional lighthearted moments of road trip arcs. I found myself flying through this one, which I think was due to the structure: short chapters and well-timed flashbacks. The entire journey was well-written and well-earned. This is certainly a book which will stay with me for a while.
