Beth O'Leary has delivered a dual timeline second chance roadtrip romance that doesn't shy away from complex, difficult and at times unlikeable characters. While I was invested in Addie and Dylan, their relationship was just so stifled by Marcus' presence, almost from the beginning. I think we needed some real halcyon days completely apart from his friends. Though part of their arc together is recognising that their friendship is was toxic, the Dylan/Marcus plot could have benefitted from a little more evidence Marcus being, like, worth the trouble?

I would recommend Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren or Happy Place by Emily Henry over this for anyone looking for a second chance dual timeline, but I didn't have a bad time reading it so I wouldn't not recommend it. I will definitely be seeking out Beth O'Leary's other work.

It’s a pretty good book. I listened to it on audible and enjoyed the readers and I think my score is higher because if them than if I had read it on my own. It started out fun and hopefully and got pretty dark and I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would.

Oh my Days. I absolutely adored this book.

It starts off with awkward situations and just becomes more and more life like.

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this and thought it might be a slight let down, a bit like The Switch but this book is probably my favourite by Beth.

It follows the road trip of 5 people going to a wedding, going from past to presents; revealing why it's super awks in the tiny mini.

From jealously to fights, to lies to being caught with your pants down, their book is HILARIOUS!

I listened to this book and I'm really glad I did. I got some real looks when I cackled at work or in the car.

If you want a pick me up, an easy read and a book that is full of realness; look no further
