Overall, I did not love this one as much as I had hoped. 

• As with The Flatshare, this book tackles some heavier topics. However, they way they were handled left me feeling a little uneasy. 
• The combination of a lot of characters with a lot of stories + the alternative timeline and narration had me questing who/what/where/why more often than I felt I should have.

These characters are so raw and real. Addie and Dylan are written so beautifully and they feel like real people. Beth O’Leary does such an excellent job of writing people who feel so real with real life problems. Also THE SIDE CHARACTERS. She has made me realize how important they are to the story and to my love of the story. I only knock a star off because it started a bit slow. Audiobook narration is great if you listen to the book.

The book is marketed as a lighthearted rom-com, but I found it rather intense and the toxic relationships were anxiety-inducing.
