4.75 stars. This was my first Lucy Score book and I loved it!

It was so easy to get into from the first page and it didn't go into unnecessary detail. The banter in this was top notch. Honestly some of the best banter that I have read in a long time. I was actually smiling, blushing and laughing out loud at times. Ally and Dominic's chemistry was amazing. Their story as  individuals was good as well.  The buildup of their relationship was really good. I didn't think I was going to like this that much because of how long the book is but it's really worth reading. The side characters were amazing, I liked them a lot too and how much they added to the plot. The only thing was that coming down to the end the conflict seemed kinda rushed but the grovel was great. Also they are 39 and 44 but act like they're in their twenties and I can't get past it. If I ever act like that at that age please slap me lol.  All in all though this book was pretty much  vibes but it was so good, I had fun reading it and I would recommend, especially if you like "The Devil Wears Prada".

CW sexual harrassment, SA, casual ableism, dementia, medical debt and money struggles

⭐ Rom-Com
⭐ Enemies to lovers
⭐ Office romance
⭐ Forced proximity

This. Was. So. Good!

I find it hard sometimes to commit to a romance over 350 pages, as it usually suggests to me that there's going to be a lot of unnecessary conflict. This, however, was delightful. Dealing with quite heavy topics such as dementia as and workplace sexual assault, Lucy Score managed to write a great love story which didn't overshadow or detract from the heavier parts of the storyline. It also still managed to be genuinely funny and steamy. So the length (500+ pages) of the novel was more than justifiable.

There's a lot of push and pull in here, combined with both characters being so strong willed and having such high standards for themselves that they can't show vulnerability to one another in an equal balance.

The enemies to lovers aspect of this was genuinely funny. It's so petty and childish (spelling out insults in foodstuffs, subtly giving each other the finger in the middle of important meetings, stuff like that), but I just thrived in it.
