A quick read, it moves pretty fast and is mostly focused on the characters and their relationship and how this affects those around them. We get a bit more of their backstory, especially Rhetts and it explains a lot about him but really doesn't excuse some of his behaviour. I generally liked him, he had a tough shell for a reason but was fiercely protective of those he cared about. I liked Lucy, she was strong and didn't back down and gave as good as she got with Rhett.
I'm a bit bored of thethird act breakups that don't need to happen and the apology as 'grovelling'. But I liked them as a couple and I liked that Rhett opened up a bit and that they both were happy. I also liked Rhetts sister and am intrigued by her story.

I loved this book. I'm glad Ivers went this way for Lucy. Her sunshine to Rhett's overly grumpy personality was perfection. I loved how they adapted from hating each other, waking up in Vegas married, and then falling in love. It was a very sweet romance with a lot of big emotions. I couldn't imagine a better fit for either of them.
