Miss Pettigrew lives for a day is a very interesting book sett ant published in the 1930s , this was a breath of fresh air since the books that i have read were always about romance and written in the 21st century, it was a hard read but that is just what made it better, i didn't like how books written today are now such easy to browse and easily consumable, truly literature have gone low

For miss pettigrew might have been a wonderful day but for me it turned out a bit long.

A fun, light-hearted read. A couple of un-PC comments indicative of the time it was written, though.

Quite an enjoyable, fluffy read aside from the racial comments which most certainly did not age well...yikes. Big yikes. :/

A charming novel, based on the adventures of Miss Pettigrew. A quick read, but not without substance.

I waffled between rating this one a 2 or a 3. On the one hand it was an amusing reversal of Cinderella's story. On the other side there was Delysia (and the preview of the film, haven't seen anything else) that tended to detract from some value it might have had. But, on the other hand, I feel like there was some good class subtext. Of one thing I am certain, though. This is definitely not for teens/middle-graders.
