A couple are desperate to buy a house. Desperate and the market is a nightmare for them. They find the perfect house. They go to open the basement door when being shown the house but the realtor says no, they can't go down there. Why? Realtor says they should talk in the living room. A guy lives down there. He's very quiet. Has a lease. Just...don't bother him.
I could actually understand why they got the house anyway. Everything made sense to me and felt real. I'm currently buying a house and I am now SO GLAD it doesn't have a basement! LOL. Never thought i'd say that. I enjoyed the characters, they felt real despite it being so short. It was creepy. I didn't see that ending coming. I loved this short creepy story.
