If I could give it less than one star I would. It was all just rape. And then murder by rape. Very disturbing for no reason? And there was also no story behind it either? So it was just a book full of pointless rape (not that it would be less disturbing if the rape had a point). Really fucking gross.
Based on the description I was thinking it would be like Dexter meets Light Yagami but yeah no, fuck no. Really just no. It was told entirely by the criminals too so the narrative fallowed horrific rapes even though the story is advertised like it’s about the homicide detective. There was no detecting to be found. No cunning problem solving, no traps to catch the criminals. Just torture. Yeah gross.

this manga really lives up to its title: "brutal". this follows a detective who has a twisted view on justice. he targets criminals and just generally awful people and calls it "cleansing the world".
twisted as it may sound but it was fun and satisfying for me to see these awful characters get what they deserve.
